"I grew up in a family full of educators and felt drawn to special education. When I started college, I spent a summer serving in Haiti and absolutely fell in love with the work I got to do at a special needs orphanage. An OT took me under her wing and when I came home, the first thing I did was change my major to pursue an OT career. For the next 2 summers I went back and worked with those sweet kiddos. They are the reason I am the OT I am today. They taught me how to be resilient and resourceful, but also how to love what I do every single day."
